Practice Policies and Appointment Guideline

Scheduling An Appointment

To schedule an initial evaluation appointment, please call 512-843-5169
and leave your name, call back number, and the reason for your call. Deniece R. McAdory,  FNP-C, PMHNP-BC will contact you to perform a brief phone interview in advance of the initial appointment to discuss medical/psychiatric history as well as fees.

Initial evaluations are typically 60 minutes to complete an assessment and to formulate treatment recommendations. Deniece R. McAdory,  FNP-C, PMHNP-BC will provide recommendations for ongoing treatment, or referrals to a higher or more specialized level of care.

Duration

Appointments are typically 30-60 minutes in length depending on complexity and type of session. Please make every effort to arrive on time, as each session must end on time out of consideration for the patient with the next appointment.

Cancellations/No-Shows

Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled two business days in advance of the scheduled time. Appointments that are not canceled according to this time frame or that are missed will be billed at the usual rate. The 24-hour cancellation and no-show policy of many psychiatrists is in place as appointment times are allocated for one patient at a time. While other physician specialties allow for double- or even triple-booking of appointment times (internist, dermatologist), psychiatric appointments times are only booked for one patient.

Fees And PaymentMethods

Credit or debit card are the preferred methods of payment at this time. Payment is due at the time of service.
